PureBeam™
– A new approach to beam control and efficiency

The issue with traditional technology

We don’t deny that there are bright lights available to cyclists, however the technology uses energy and light photons in an inefficient way.

This inefficiency creates two key issues:

  • The Wall of Light or Foreground Saturation phenomenon that creates an intense hotspot of light that impairs your ability to see hazards in the distance.

  • Poor photon and energy use means that the light requires far greater watts and therefore battery life is greatly reduced. More time charging and more charging cycles has a long term effect on the product performance.

Re-inventing lens technology in cycling

Since 201X, our partner company - Broalux Labs - has been designing and building advanced lens technology for the microchip and automotive sectors.

We tasked them to develop a lens that utilises every single photon generated by an LED light. After years of refinements, testing, computer modelling and prototyping, the ONE was born.

Why PureBeam™ is different

Every photon emitted from the LED refracts through three sections of our solid polycarbonate lens. This means there is zero loss of photons - therefore we can create maximum brightness with minimum energy use. In addition, the lens we have created enables us to have complete control over the beam pattern.
